Matt & Kaytlin
Matthew and Kaytlin’s love story began in the hallways of Pine Lake Preparatory in Mooresville, North Carolina, where they first met in the 6th grade. What started as childhood friendship grew slowly and steadily over the years, as they shared classes, laughter, and a close-knit circle of friends. By their senior year, after years of quiet connection, Matthew finally gathered the courage to ask Kaytlin to prom—marking the beginning of something truly special.
After high school, life took them on separate paths—Kaytlin to Clemson University in South Carolina, and Matthew to Penn State in Pennsylvania. Though miles apart, their bond remained unshaken. After a year of long distance, Matthew followed his heart back south and transferred to Clemson to be by Kaytlin’s side. There, their love continued to blossom as they pursued their passions—Kaytlin earning her Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Matthew graduating in Materials Science and Engineering.
In 2021, with diplomas in hand and dreams ahead, they moved to Greenville to begin the next chapter together. A year later, they bought their first home in Greer, South Carolina, building not just a house, but a life. Now, both are proud to continue their careers together at BMW.
Then, in September 2024, amidst the timeless beauty of Florence, Italy—the cradle of the Renaissance—Matthew knelt down and asked Kaytlin the question he had carried in his heart for nearly eight years. Surrounded by centuries of art, history, and romance, she said yes. And in that magical moment, their next chapter began—not just as partners in life, but as soulmates bound by love, friendship, and a future they’ve been dreaming of together since they were just kids.
